Beach Wheelchair
Access to Beaches
 
To find a wheelchair-accessible beach, call your local park district, coastal association, or park field office for la iist of accessible paths, including paths to beaches and boardwalks. Examples of adaptive equipment include sand mats for entering and exiting water in a wheelchair, sand chairs, and flotation devices. Many public beaches are required to provide sand chairs for access to water.
