Being There - Rolling Around

If you just want to hang out in town, ask the Visitors Center of the town or city you're visiting if they have a "mobility map." Mobility maps pop up more often in the United States than they used to (especially in state parks, civic centers and monument sites), but they're even more popular in Australia-and they're free. Mobility maps show the grade of the terrain, plus accessible parking, toilets, phones and curb cuts. Here is one of the Melbourne, Australia Entertainment Precinct and a link to other maps in Australia.
