Fishing Your Personal Contacts

Don't forget to talk to other people who may have experience with assistive technology. For example, you may obtain helpful information through a parent support group, from your doctor or therapist, or from other people with disabilities and/or their caregivers.

If the person you approach doesn't know the answer to your questions, ask him or her for the name of someone who might be able to help and then follow-up by contacting that person. The idea is to keep building a larger and larger personal network of knowledgeable people.
